worn out picnics

today was the first day back to classes after the break. not really anything special.

i paired my old worn out picnic toms with some jeans, a high school shirt, and a sweater. so, how did you rock your toms today?

some seaport vegan classics

so today, i got to enjoy sitting around and kinda relaxing before i have to drive up to denton tomorrow. i did get my hair cut today and wore my newest pair of toms to the mall. i got compliments from people of all kinds of styles: a worker from hot topic, a hair dresser from visible changes, a worker at hollister, and someone from forever21.
i paired my toms with a grey sweater, a ftsk to write love on her arms shirt, my new marc by marc jacobs wristlet, some torn skinny jeans, and the seaport toms. so, how did you rock your toms today?

rockin the burlap toms

today, the burlap toms made quite the trip. it started out around 7am with breakfast at bill millers, then to my dad's office, chris madrid's for lunch, ran some errands, and then to many hotels for the whole job hunt. while today has been interesting, filled with some great things and some not so great things, overall it has been one of the most eventful days so far this break. one of the people at my dad's office said "why in the world would you take potato sacks and put them on your feet like house shoes". with that answer, all i could say was "why haven't you? its pretty awesome if you ask me".
so my question to everyone is, how did you rock your toms today? i paired mine with an urban outfitters sweater, a "turtley awesome" shirt, some torn up skinny jeans, and of course some toms.

the new adventures of the seaport classics

so, i have had my newest pair of toms for almost a week now. all i can say is that they are amazing. i've never had any of the vegan ones but i am beginning to think that they are better than the normal ones, just a thought. i have gotten so many compliments on them, i think the best being that my sister just bought some.
the first day i wore them: i found out that one of my really good friends was engaged to be engaged, i know that it sounds confusing. the best part of it all is that she wants my help in planning the wedding. i want to be an events planner, more for concerts and things like that, but this is going to be exciting. she is the one who introduced me to toms three years ago. they are the perfect toms couple, when they are not barefoot. they liked my idea of having toms at their wedding. so, they have decided to get married barefoot and then they are going to wear the toms that their guests sign when they sign in their wedding book. the toms will have their name or wedding date and will have the signatures of all of their loved ones and will be the perfect thing to rock at their reception, my idea that they loved. its so exciting.
the second and third day: nothing too special, just the average venture to class and back to the dorm. along the way, i got lots of compliments and such. i had a "scene/hipster kid pic day" with some of the cool crumley people, which of course i had to rock the newest toms at. there will be pictures to come.
the fourth day: i had to head home for spring break. by heading home, i mean, driving five hours to get there. my school is in denton and my house is in san antonio. everytime i make the drive, i seem to be wearing my toms. they are very comfortable and just seem to be the right thing to wear. the drive only took about 4 and a 1/2 hours, i think that it was because it wasn't raining like it usually is.
the rest of the days leading up to now: they have been pretty low key, just chilling in san antonio. spreading the joy that my toms bring me. nothing too special.

my toms story

i love my toms, i seem to wear them everyday. my love for toms started about 3 year ago with my first pair, the picnic toms. since then, i have purchased the "make art not war" toms, the burlap toms, and just recently the seaport vegan classic ones. they seem to pretty much complete my style. i used to be a converse wearing kid, but since the first pair of toms, those shoes are pretty much just taking up space in my closet. the love for toms doesn't just stop with me, i have bought some for my family too. my grandma, mom, and sister all have the burlap ones and just recently, my sister got the silver glitter and the seaport vegan classics ones. at first, my family thought they were "house shoes" but i blame that on them being new and not something that they had really seen before. at unt, they are starting to become more popular and at home, in san antonio, they are still starting to just come onto the scene. if you don't already have a pair, or four, i would suggest that you buy them. they only get better as the company grows older.
